#24 The End and the Beginning

At the beginning, Playground was new and challenging but eventually it was a lot more fun. I made new discoveries on what was available on the internet which I had never consider exploring. I thought Playground was extremely informative and this progam helped me to create my own blog. I really enjoyed the image generators. I look forward to participating in the future with any new programs. I would like to thank Jacqui, Krista, David and Claire for all their help along the way.

#23 Audiobooks and eBooks

Library to Go was really easy to use and I found some of the titles I was looking for. The Overdrive's Digital Media Guided Tour was extremely helpful in detailing the steps to downloading audiobooks or ebooks. I look forward in the future when more titles will be added.

#22 Podcast

I tried Podcast.net with no success but enjoyed PodcastPickle.com and decided to add it as an RSS feed to my Google reader. Podcast Pickle.com has a podcast of "The Marvelous Land of Oz (Book 2)". The podcast also gives a short history of the book in the Author's note. PodcastPickle. com also has a feature called J.C. Hutchins and New fiction and Author update. The podcast I would most likely listen to are programs that I may have missed on CBC Radio.

YouTube is new to me and not being familiar with this site I had to look around to find something i was interested in. I found the most popular and most viewed videos were either about sports or music. In the Library, YouTube can be used as a tool to teach or a great way for every to experience new ideas in a visual format. I really like this video because it definitely cheers you up.

#20 Askaway

This was the first time I tried Askaway and it was simple to use. I would definitely use it again when I have any problems finding answers on the internet. The librarian was extremely helpful.

#19 Databases

Using NVDPL's Magazine & Newspaper Articles, Reference and Information Databases , I tried Columbia Grangers World's of Poetry. It was very simple to use and easy to access information. I also tried researching in Canadian Newstand which required more specific information to get to the exact information I needed. The Auto repair centre was interesting because you can research your own car and find learn everything you ever wanted to know about it.

#18 Office 2007

I like the new Microsoft 2007 with its new features. A little more practice with the new features will help it make it alot easier and faster to use. Once you are more familiar with the ribbon, the different command buttons and tabs it will take less clicking with the mouse. Excel looks more interesting with colour scales added and will make it better visually to look at the page with all the numbers on it.
